Today we will discuss only dryness. Dryness of our face, body and scalp. And i will give you the best solution for it. It is december and
December means Winter
And
Winter means Dryness.
The only way we know the arrival of winter is through dry skin. Because of the cold weather our skin become very flaky and dry which is normal. Just by applying body lotion it gone. But what if the dryness is just disappearing for a while. After some hours it came. It could be very irritating. But let’s first know why this happens ?
Dry skin can be frustrating, especially when you’re using body lotion. Here are some reasons why your skin might still be dry despite applying lotion:
Reasons for Dry Skin
1. Insufficient Moisturizer : Using too little lotion or applying it too infrequently can lead to dry skin.
2. Harsh Soaps or Cleansers :Using harsh or abrasive cleansers can strip your skin of its natural oils, leading to dryness.
3. Environmental Factors : Cold weather, low humidity, and wind can dry out your skin.
4. Skin Conditions: Certain skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, or dermatitis can cause dry skin.
5. Medications: Some medications, such as diuretics, antihistamines, and beta-blockers, can cause dry skin as a side effect.
6. Aging: As we age, our skin’s natural ability to retain moisture decreases.
7. Genetics: Some people may be more prone to dry skin due to their genetic makeup.
8. Lack of Exfoliation: Failing to exfoliate regularly can lead to a buildup of dead skin cells, causing dryness.
9. Poor Diet: A diet lacking essential fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals can contribute to dry skin.
Solutions
1. Use a rich, hydrating lotion: Look for lotions containing ingredients like hyaluronic acid, ceramides, or niacinamide.
2. Apply lotion immediately after bathing: While skin is still damp, apply lotion to lock in moisture.
3. Exfoliate regularly: Gently exfoliate 1-2 times a week to remove dead skin cells.
4. Use gentle, fragrance-free cleansers : Avoid harsh soaps or cleansers that can strip your skin of its natural oils.
5. Stay hydrated Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated from the inside out.
6. Avoid hot showers : Take warm showers instead, as hot water can strip your skin of its natural oils.
Remember, everyone’s skin is different, so it may take some trial and error to find the right combination of products and habits that work for your skin.
Some more important information
Some times our skin is asking for oil instead of light lotions. For that you should switch to the thick body butter or creams and for the lack of oil. I prefer you to massage daily before bath with hot jojoba or coconut oil to get rid of the flaky dry skin.
Take 4 tablespoon of oil (jojoba, coconut) and put 1 capsule pf Vitamin E. Mix it well and apply on all over your body and let it rest for atleast 15 minutes. Then wash it off with luke warm water and gentle soap or cleanser. After it you will see the difference and for extra protection use thick body butter or cream.
Body serums are also a best option in the winter too. Like our face our also needs to have more protection. This is my personel experience and advice to all of you to use Body serums, body lotion (butter, cream) and body oils. If you don’t want to invest in maket then you can DIY it too. You just needs your favourite oil, aloevera jel, rose water.
Take all this in a spray botel. Mix it nicely and use it after evey bath before lotions. I swear you gonna love the results.
Scalp dryness is also a impact of winter on our body. But applying oil again and again can clog the pores. So what should we do ?
I give you some tips which really work wonders on the scalp. First of all choose oil carefully. Not every oil is made for our scalp and hair.
Coconut Oil
First is coconut oil One of the most popular natural products for hair care, coconut oil, is loaded with lauric acid (a type of saturated fat). According to scientists, lauric acid found in coconut oil has the ability to penetrate inside the hair shaft and, in turn, repair damaged hair. Coconut oil also works on the protein of the hair.
Protein, your hair’s main component, may be damaged by chemical processes such as dyeing and highlighting. For repairing you should use coconut oil.
Olive oil
Like coconut oil, olive oil is able to penetrate deep into hair’s fibers. There are abundance of monounsaturated fats found in olive oil may play a key role in its conditioning properties.
Our natural body heat allows olive oil to penetrate deeper into the shaft of a hair, leaving a thin layer on the outside. Even so, it needs to be used sparingly on the hair to avoid an oily, heavy look.Because it is so moisturizing, olive oil can save your hair from weather-related dryness during the winter months.
Argan oil.
Argan oil nourishes and protects hair with its rich antioxidants, essential fatty acids, and vitamin E. It moisturizes, conditions, and softens hair, reducing frizz, split ends, and breakage, while promoting healthy growth and shine.
Jojoba Oil.
Jojoba oil is an excellent hair care ingredient due to its similarities with the natural oils produced by our scalp. It deeply moisturizes and conditions hair, reducing dryness, frizz, and split ends. Jojoba oil also promotes healthy hair growth, strengthens hair follicles, and adds shine and softness to hair. It is best for hair thinning problem.
Avocado oil
Avocado oil deeply nourishes and moisturizes hair, promoting healthy growth and strength. Rich in vitamins A, D, and E, as well as fatty acids, it repairs damaged hair, reduces breakage, and adds shine. Avocado oil also protects hair from environmental damage, soothes scalp irritations, and helps lock in moisture, leaving hair soft, silky, and manageable. Regular use can improve overall hair health.
Sweet almond oil
It is best for the lighter option. It is best for the dry scalp and dandruff. But you can use it as serum too after the hair wash. Because it has UV protection properties. Which can save your hair’s natural colour and damaged hairs.
Grape seed oil
It is also a lighter option. You can use it for massage or as a serum. It repairs damages and fizzy hairs. It also works good on split ends.
Macadamia oil
macadamia oil is a popular remedy for dried-out but naturally thick hair. It is also used to fight frizz and repair heat-damaged hair.
Macadamia oil is able to penetrate hair in the same way as natural skin oils as it contains similar components.Because of this, you can apply a few drops to very thick or curly hair prior to combing to reduce snagging and tangling—and without unnecessary greasiness.
Rosemary Oil
Recently you may have listened or read anywhere that how rosemary is useful for hair growth. You should massage the oil before washing the hair nicely to the roots. And you can see the results after somedays that you hairfall will lessen then before. It also hydrate the scalp.
You can choose your oil according to your problem and massage it nicely 1-2 hours before washing your hair and always use hydrating shampoo rather than those shampoo which have hight quantity of sulphate. And use luke warm water to wash hair.
Dryness of the scalp is also the reason of using heavy products and or washing hair more than needed. Wash your hair only 2 times a week.

For face mask use oats face mask for hydration and glow. Take 2 Tablespoon od oats and smash it a little. Then add honey in it. Apply it on damp face for 30 minutes and enjoy the after glow.
