Winter skin care routine

Winter is here ! So hello i am your friend here again with a most rejuvenating winter skincare/body routine. In some places it is very cold and in some places it is not so, but in some areas it is not cold at all. But skin changes. Skin change in with every season, it need are also changes.
Showers Let's begun with shower. Taking hot shower can release the stress and relax muscles but it can dry skin a lot. For that you can switch to warm showers it does not rip off skin barriers. But i can tell you one more secret for taking hot shower infrequently. If it is a long day after work and you are tired so you can take hot shower for little time with mixing milk in it. Milk will look after the dryness and you can enjoy your hot shower in weekly or monthly. Shower creams and mousse In winter is needed to switch into the shower creams or mousse. Winter comes with pink cheeks, hot coffee and christmas but it also comes with blocked nose, cracked heels and dry skin.
 
So i am here to tell you some good tips for winters.
 

Showers

Let’s begun with shower. Taking hot shower can release the stress and relax muscles but it can dry skin a lot. For that you can switch to warm showers it does not rip off skin barriers. In winter is needed to switch into the shower creams or mousse. It helps to maintain the skin with moisturizing it. Soap can rip off the skin’s natural oils and make skin damage. Or a another option is you can get the herbal soaps without chemicals.
 

Coconut oil

It is my personnel experience that coconut oil is far better than any moisturizing oil. It has natural power to heal the damage of skin and can get back the barriers. After coconut oil coffee beans oil is also very good for the skin. Virgin olive oil is also does the same. It also moisturizer the skin very nicely for long hours.
 

Body lotions

In summer, we prefer light weight gel based lotions for skin which not make it feel heavy. In winter, we prefer lotions which is oil based. It locks the skin from getting dry. Try to have body lotion with  hyloronic acid, glycerine and ceramides. Some nourishing vitamins are  Vitamin E, Vitamin C and Vitamin B5. You can use thick layer of body butter.
 
 

Feet and Hand creams

In winter feet cracks alot. Does not matter how much you wear socks or apply moisturizer. Heels will crack. For healing and preventing use a thick layer of foot creams and aloevera weekly before bed. A home remedy you can hse for body and foot is olive oil with hint of lemon in it. Apply after every shower in damp skin. A secret for smooth foot is soak your foot everyday in a bucket of warm after while bathing. It helps so much to remove dead skin. After it apply a thik layer of moisturizer.
 
And for hands you can use chemical free hand washes and after every wash apply coconut oil or aloevera rich hand cream. It helps to balance. And for sun exposure use sunscreen on hands too. Before bed always apply hand cream. You can apply banana honey mask once in a week on feet and hand too.
 

Sun exposure

UV RAYS of sun can harm in every season after all more in winter when we used to sunbath a lot. For that always sunbath by covering your whole body and apply sunscreen   30 minutes before having sunbath.
 

Blocked nose

Blocked nose irritates more than we imagine. And taking medicine frequently more is not good at all. A best solution for the blocked nose is steam inhalation. Steem helps to release the pressure. A more useful tip is having ginger honey tea before the bed to ease the blocked nose.
 

Scrub

Scrum you body every month. It can reduce products built ups and dead skin. So you can focus on healthy skin. You can scrub your whole body with coffee powder sugar with coconut oil. Make a thick paste of it and use. You can store it also. But i prefer to make it and use it freshly.
 

Shaving

Shaving or waxing is tough in winters. But if you want to then follow the necessary steps to not to dry skin. Use coconut oil or normal hydrating body lotion or body butter to nourish the skin specially arms and legs.
 

For face

As you can see before i have told yiu some hacks about the body. But WHAT ABOUT THE FACE ?
 
Let’s start with washing. Washing your face face with normal fash washes is good enough. Use always cold or normal water for the wash to not to open pores. You can use milk and rose water with honey to cleanse the face. It will not make your skin dry. Don’t wash your face more than 2 times a day.
 

Face moisturizer

 
Never skip moisturizer in winter to keep your skin fresh and hydrated. For moisturizing use rich creamy moisturizer unless your skin type is oily. All the heavy moisturizer are not meant for you so find the best one which is creamy not heavy. And for oily skin you should use normal gel based and water based light weight moisturizer. Or you can use moisturizer that control oil production.
 
Pro tip
You should apply a thick layer of honey on your skin twice a week. It hydrated and moist the skin which no other product can do. For that you should wash your face first and make it little bit dry with clean towel. After it apply a thick layer of honey on your bare skin. And take your bath usually. After bath wash the face with normal water (Not Hot). And see the results.
 

Chapped  Lips

We all know i don’t need to tell anything about how dry chapped lips gets in winter. For that scrub your lips twice a week with toothbrush and jojoba or coconut oil. It will take of all the dead skin and make you lips brighter. But never forget about the lip balms and lip oils. Always carry a lip balm with you and re apply after every 2-3 hours. You can also use petrolium jelly.
 
 Pro tip  
You can use honey mask on your lips too. And always apply coconut oil or jojoba oil on your lips before bed. It will do wonders on your lips. It brighter and nourish the lips.
 

Hairs

Washing hairs are big problem in winter. Because we can’t waah it with cold water and hot water could make scalp dry flaky which can cause to dandruff and dandruff cause hair fall and acne. So we don’t want that right !
Always wash hairs the warm water and only double cleanse not more than that. For shampoo use tea tree, aloevera and moisturising shampoo not chemical based.
 

Conditioner or hair mask

Using normal conditioner in winter can cause dry fizzy hairs. For that always use thicker conditioner and hair masks. It make you hair shinny and fizz free.You can apply hair mask of alovera honey and curd. It is best and chemical free.
 

Nuts

I am not focusing you on only external health but internal health also. For make yourself more healthy in these winter.Eat a handful of nuts every day. You can eat any type of nuts. Like almond, walnuts, cashew nuts, peanuts, pistachios etc. If you can’t have it like its in natural way then you can soak it overnight and then consume it.
 

Seeds

Sesame, sunflower, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, flex seeds, carom seeds, fenugreek seeds , celery seeds. This all are rich in vitamins, iron, calcium and omega 3. It all have there own qualities. But if you add these in your diet. You will surely maintain a healthy body, skin and hair. You can add these seeds itno your salads, smoothies and soups.
 
Wait i ll tell you one thing that any skincare routine will work only if you follow it consistently.
